NORTH BAY VILLAGE, FL — A planned civic complex on Harbor Island would bring a new Village Hall, police headquarters and fire station to North Bay Village, representing a significant investment in the community’s public services and safety infrastructure.

The Miami-Dade County Commission has approved an agreement supporting the project, with the County committing approximately $7.5 million. Additional funding sources identified for the development include bond proceeds, developer fees and a separate contribution.

The proposed North Bay Village municipal complex would encompass 38,257 square feet, with a planned height of 76 feet and 95 parking spaces. The building would accommodate municipal offices alongside police and fire facilities, bringing several essential government functions together at one location.

For residents, the project’s significance goes beyond a new building. It would create updated facilities for the staff and public safety personnel who serve the community, while establishing a central destination for municipal services on Harbor Island.

The funding agreement marks an important step toward delivering the complex. Construction dates and an anticipated opening were not provided in the project information.
